just a few days left before launch. WHEW!
We’ve had an unbelievable couple of days. Yesterday afternoon I picked up Aaron and Devin in Madison, WI. They had just come from Chris Weller’s wedding in Chicago and were wearing matching t-shirts. They have no idea where the shirts came from.
Last night we played a single set, nearly 2 hours long at Audio for the Arts in Madison. That’s a first for us. It was magical. Lots of new sounds. A handful of songs we haven’t played in a long time. And an incredibly enthusiastic and attentive audience. Plus Steve Gotcher recorded the whole thing. So there’s that.
Afterward we headed to Brooklyn, WI to sleep in one of our favorite places in the world: Paul and Cami’s house. We were immediately bombarded with love and attention from Paul and his wife Cami as well as their great dane, Cleo, and 3veryyoung kittens.
This morning I woke up to the sounds of Aaron and Devin picking raspberries with our host Cami in her yard. We ate them for breakfast. Then we went to buy some bread.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but Paul and Cami were taking us to Kamm’s Farm Bakery, which makes my favorite bread in the world. When I lived in Madison I was HOOKED on this stuff (the 7 grain Ezekial is the JAM). Anyway, Dolores (89 years old!) runs the bakery and the garden and has more energy than the three of us put together.
She gave us a bunch of tomatoes:
And showed us around the bakery:
And had some laughs with Paul’s mom, Bettie. Two awesome old ladies telling stories:
Playing at the Skylark in Chicago tonight. Can’t wait.
Much love,
Patrick and SoD
ANN ARBOR IS THE JAM. YUP. Thanks to Ben Willis for the pics. And to Pat Booth, Ben, and John for crushing an opening set. Also, Molly and Kirsten and Evan and Russell and Ian and a shitload of other people for letting us play in their house. YUP.

Toronto is maaaaaaybe the best city in the world. Devin grabbed this hot sweater at Value Village and Patrick picked up a gnarly postcard book by Attaboy.
Plus there’s some tight graffiti behind the Tranzac (the greatest venue ever to grace the face of the planet).
We’re splitting the night w/ Lina Allemano Four starting at 10 pm. But we out here early chilling hard and making some grub in the trusty rice cooker. Don’t hate. Just come down and say whatup.

This just in!
This is just what it sounds like. Back our Kickstarter and you’ll get the promised reward(s) PLUS this limited edition set of music by 2/3 of SoD.
