Be An Elephant tour listen projects Breiner Sounds

words cannot accurately describe how excited i am to be playing with VAX (pronounced “fajh”) tonight at the Launch Pad’s Sounds and Sounds series.

devin gray, liz kosack, and i put a lot of work into creating a brand new 40 minute piece. it includes a pretty fucking unbelievable rap that Biz wrote. funny, but not a joke.

in other news, the “other” gig i was supposed to have tonight got cancelled (for me anyway).

seriously, tonight’s gonna get WEIRD.

more and more of the charts that i write / play end up looking like this. this is a group effort by VAX for a last minute addition to the gig calendar. me, Devin Gray, Liz Kosack. at Launch Pad. 721 Franklin. Brooklyn, NY. this saturday at 8 pm. more info in TOUR section. stoked!

The final product. Creeeeeeeepy.

The brilliant Liz Kosack is making me some masks for a future Vartan Mamigonian solo saxophone endeavor. It’s about to get really weird and really fun. Today she made a cast of my face. Sweeeeet. Thanks to Devin Gray for letting us mess up his kitchen.

liz kosack and patrick breiner making a mask

This happened at a random art gallery in Brooklyn on Friday night after the Breiner/Gray/Kosack show at Midwood Music House. A bunch of freaky artists, about 2,000 peanuts strung from the ceiling each with an individual message sharpied onto it, a motorcycle with a bunch of spray paint on it (the owner later came and picked it up, NOT happy), some PBRs, a flying grapefruit, and a pair of very confused and very out of place musicians who happened to wander in. We played a little something for them. Thanks to Devin for the vids.
